Our client – the global procurement team of a leading international e-commerce company – was spending significant time compiling reports and executive presentations. The work was repetitive, time-consuming, and required pulling together data from various internal systems to build vendor decks and internal summaries. The team saw an opportunity to streamline this work using AI, but lacked the technical experience and confidence to build and deploy solutions on their own.
Gradient Ascent partnered with the procurement team to co-develop an AI Agent capable of automating the creation of presentation-ready slides. The system was designed to pull relevant data from tools like Snowflake and Google Workspace, convert that data into structured tables, and prepare content that could be quickly transformed into slides for vendor reviews and executive updates.
We helped architect and build backend integrations with their existing systems, set up the data pipelines, and structured the outputs into useful visual components.
Additionally – since the client team was not technical – we ran a parallel coaching track, teaching them how to scope AI projects, make key product decisions, evaluate outputs, run demos, and manage rollouts without relying solely on IT support.
The project was rolled out in two structured phases. By the end of the engagement, the procurement team had a functional AI Agent in use and the internal know-how to maintain and evolve it independently. The shift not only saved them time but also helped the team build lasting confidence in their ability to leverage AI tools for daily operations.
